name: blazestar formerly: blazekit, blazepaw, blazesong gender: female description; slender seal sepia point she-cat with pale turquoise eyes. age: 28 moons apprentice: maplepaw personality:
elegant: Blazestar never does anything without forethought. Every step she takes is calculated, every move she makes was thought through before she ever lifted a paw. She is a renowned hunter because of this skill; before she even pounces on her prey, it is already dead. Although leader duties have kept her from many hunting patrols, occasionally, she will join them, with each warrior sending a silent thanks to Starclan for her skills. Occasionally, too, she will slip out of camp when she is troubled or unable to sleep, returning only when she has prey secured snugly in her jaws. It is said she once even brought down a hawk.
headstrong: Blazestar has always had a good head on her shoulders for right and wrong. While she respects and honors the warrior code, she has her only code of morals that she walks safely alongside in her mind, allowing it to guide her decisions more than traditions do, unable to be swayed even by the words of others. If she has made up her mind, her clan knows that very little can stop her. While it is a formidable trait, especially in battle, it occasionally gets her into trouble, when she finds herself bending or, on occasion, even breaking the code for the sake of another cat. Although she is a leader renowned for her ferocity, her kind heart is a known, and, unfortunately, exploitable weakness.
confident: She has lived her life with her head held high. Atop a high horse, if someone tells her she is wrong, she will viciously, verbally decimate them until they are steamrolled into agreeing. Her clan admires this trait when it works in their favor; they know they have a leader in their corner who will defend them to their graves, but if she ever turns her tail on the clan's voice, they know they can do little to change her mind, and it is always better to go with it and let her come to her own conclusions than to ever try and convince Blazestar she is wrong.
passionate: A fire burns in her heart for everything she believes to be true. Blazestar never passively does anything; her whole soul is either thrown into it, or she is completely and vehemently against something. When she believes that someone has been wrong, she will spend all of her nine lives fighting for them to be restored. And, god help them, if someone crosses their path, they will be wishing all the way to Starclan that they hadn't.
sultry: A master of persuasion, it is a common saying in Flameclan that Blazestar could convince a fish to climb a tree. She has had many potential suitors in the past, drawn to her fiery nature and zest for life, but one by one she has turned them down, concerned instead with her affair of leadership.
history: Long ago, Blazesong was a member of another clan. She walked amongst their ranks as a quietly loyal member, desperate to prove herself worthy as a noble warrior and an appreciated member of her clan.
However, this all changed when the clan of her birth decided to maliciously attack another. Blazesong couldn't bring herself to participate; she always had a sure sense of what was right and wrong, and this attack went against everything she had known to be right. Warriors were attacking and killing kits, queens, elders: cats died indiscriminately all around her. It wasn't an attack anymore. It was a massacre.
Because of her refusal to participate, Blazesong was exiled, ordered to walk alone, away from the only family she had ever known. She wandered the forest for until the full moon, following the rising sun as far as she could. When the full moon rose, she came to an island, an oasis away from it all, where she could see the moon reflecting on the water and a breeze rustling the many trees. Half-starved, but alive, she decided to found a new clan, Flameclan, named after the burning flame in her heart, the passion to do what is right.
